Brake Up! is a chaotic CO-OP car platformer built with Unreal Engine 5. Thrown into a strange world after a mysterious portal drags their car underground, an elderly couple must work together to survive a journey filled with chaos, laughter, and unexpected danger.
One player controls the steering wheel while the other manages the pedals.
If the two of you fail to sync, the world’s deadly traps, obstacles, creatures, and bizarre surprises won’t hesitate to send you flying off the path. The roads are narrow, the hazards are unforgiving, and a single misstep can turn the entire run into pure chaos — or pure comedy.
As you progress through this strange land, you’ll uncover pieces of the couple’s story and the odd world they’ve fallen into.
But escaping won’t be easy; surviving here requires not just reflexes, but true teamwork.
Brake Up! features over 35 different obstacles designed to stop you, confuse you, or send your car flying off the road. One player controls the steering with the A–D keys, while the other controls the pedals with W–S, deciding when to accelerate or slow down.
Throughout the game, you’ll encounter obstacles that push you, slide you, block you, or try to knock you off the path entirely.
With smooth driving mechanics and tight coordination between both players, you’ll need every bit of teamwork to reach your goal and survive the chaos ahead.
The game launches with two unique maps, but the adventure won’t stop there. New maps will be added over time, bringing fresh mechanics and brand-new obstacles to keep the experience exciting. With every update, you’ll discover new areas, face different dangers, and take on even more chaotic challenges together.
