Brake Up! is Now in
Post-Production Stage!
At Rock Paper Publisher, we’re excited to share updates from projects that bring fresh and chaotic fun to players. This time, it’s all about Brake Up!, a cooperative driving experience that’s now officially in its post-production stage.
What is Brake Up!?
Brake Up! is a chaotic co-op platformer where coordination is everything. Players control a car together—but with a twist: each player is responsible for different mechanics.
One player handles the steering, while the other controls acceleration and braking. Sounds simple… until it’s not.
Set in a surreal world filled with floating roads, strange obstacles, and unexpected hazards, the game constantly challenges players to stay in sync—or fall into chaos.
Built for Co-Op Chaos
Brake Up! is designed around communication and teamwork:
-
Split control mechanics (steering vs. movement)
-
Physics-based driving challenges
-
Unpredictable obstacles and level design
-
A mix of frustration and fun that rewards coordination
Whether you're playing with a friend or testing your patience, every level becomes a shared experience.
What Does Post-Production Mean?
With the game now in post-production, core systems and gameplay are already in place. The current phase focuses on:
-
Polishing gameplay and controls
-
Improving level design and pacing
-
Fixing bugs and optimizing performance
-
Preparing for release and player feedback
It’s the stage where the experience is refined into its final, playable form.
Why It Stands Out
Brake Up! taps into the same chaotic co-op energy that makes games memorable and highly shareable:
-
Simple concept, deep coordination challenge
-
Fun, frustration, and laughter combined
-
Perfect for content creators and friends playing together
-
Replayable, session-based gameplay
It’s not just about driving—it’s about surviving the drive together.
Coming Soon
While a release date hasn’t been officially announced yet, Brake Up! is getting closer to launch with each step in post-production.
